Cecil B. and the Missus. Classic. Not particularly ostentatious. Very tasteful. No epic here. It was apparently Hattie McDaniel's last wish to, what, be buried in this cemetery? Unclear. This monument states that "it" fulfills that wish. This brilliant though racially typecast actress died in the '50s. The monument was erected in the '90s. Something tells us a black woman was not allowed to be buried at Hollywood Memorial back in the day. Don't know where the body lies. Tyrone Power was an incandescent beauty in his early black and whites. It's amazing how quickly sex and booze will age you. C'mon, the man was only like in his fifties when he kicked, but so old and haggard, what a crime. On his tomb is inscribed: "Good-night, sweet prince, And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!"
 
Fuck the close-up, we couldn't let you miss this expanse. Douglas Fairbanks, baby. Exquisite, isn't it? That small circle on the distant structure is a relief of his profile wreathed in laurel. Just below and in front lies the tomb itself. Inscribed upon it? "Good-night, sweet prince, And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!" Duh.   Can't read it? "No Agents or Peddlers." On that note ...
