| I, Glenn
Fox, was raised by wild hares. In Atlanta.
Besides what
I learned from the rabbits, I am a self-taught artist currently living
in Los Angeles. On wood, glass, gourds, rocks and people, I paint
with bright and often puffy colors. I am fond of high-glossing the
final images - excepting people - with lacquers, epoxies and urethanes.
Animals or their shadows appear frequently in my work. Sometimes
cartoon-like and often unworldly, they convey emotions ranging from extremely
happy and excited, to mischievously goofy and deranged.
I feel very
fortunate to be able to create things that make people happy. And
especially to make a living from my craft. What I find most appetizing
is the complete lack of rules in art. Except, of course, that one
must be disciplined enough to keep on producing, even through the trying
times. I never produce unhappy art. I find the image and make
it smile. Everybody's happy. They have teeth.
My art commonly
glows in the dark. I've been known to customize furniture, clothing,
cars and houses. My pieces are displayed in restaurants, night clubs,
recording studios and several hundred private collections throughout the
US. I'm featured by the House of Blues concert venues and restaurants
in seven states. In Los Angeles, my work may be seen at the House
of Blues on the Sunset Strip, or by viewing my collection and current works
by appointment at (818) 506-7132.
Remember,
there may be teeth.
